A mixed bag this time reflecting many of the different strands of dance music you would have heard in the 80s. From the Italo-weirdness of Doctor's Cat, to the more straightforward funk of the Brothers Johnson. The Shannon track was a massive global chart hit, which seems strange now as it comes across as more of a hard-core dance track and not very "poppy". To me Gino Soccio is one of the greats of late disco, though less well remembered than, say, Moroder or even Cerrone. I've taken the liberty of naming this mix in his honour.
