"The Bright Side" A Comedy / Novelty Playlist

A 32 track mix of comedy records and silly songs to celebrate todays Comic Relief fundraiser in the UK. Some are definitely NSFW... others I loved while knee high to a grasshopper.

Back in the day (before video cassettes!) we would gather around the record player listening to Monty Python, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy and Not The Nine O'Clock News. The Allan Sherman, Rick Dees, Rodney Dangerfield and Joe Dolce tracks are also from this "pre-teen" corner of my collection.

The Firm and The Timelords were both UK #1 hits in the 80's, as were The Simpsons and (South Park's) Chef in the 90's. The 00's on, brought us Tenacious D, the genius of "New Zealand's fourth most popular guitar-based digi-bongo acapella-rap-funk-comedy folk duo" Flight of the Conchords, and viral favourites The Lonely Island, Jimmy Fallon and Adam Buxton.

There's soundtrack faves from David Brent, Team America, Spinal Tap, Spongebob and The Lego Movie...
