It's now impossible to hear "Come And Get Your Love" by Redbone without imagining Peter Quill / Star Lord in Guardians Of The Galaxy, and hearing it again in the last Avengers movie inspired another 70's Pop & Rock Mix.
A few selections on here reflect my age at the time... "Wig Wam Bam" by The Sweet was the first 7" single I can remember playing (#4 in Sept '72 - when I was nearly 4 years old). "December 1963" was my favourite song on a '75 Pickwick Records "Top of the Pops Volume 51" compilation (thats a "not by the original artist" one). And as a kid I really liked Donna Summer. And Billy Joel. And the Paul Simon song (50 ways !? more like 5!). My best friend was the massive Kiss fan. And of course I loved The Muppets!
