A mix-tape I made for the car, of favourites over the past few months. The high-light was going to see The Allergies with Andy Cooper, where Toots & The Maytals went down a storm. There's some great new music from Beck, Wolf Alice, The xx, Django Django, The Horrors, St.Vincent, Morrissey, Ezra Furman, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds (!) and the last single from Wild Beasts. New discoveries like Son of Sam, Jain, Warm Digits and the especially fantastic "Hands High" by Krafty Kutz & Chali 2na. There's a couple of old songs I've just discovered, like Frankie Smith's hilarious delivery on "Double Dutch Bus" (worth watching on youtube), Al Wilsons Northern Soul Classic "The Snake", and scratch masterpiece "Einstein Do It" from Ugly Duckling. I also discovered some of the Tom Petty back catalogue after his sad passing and "Listen To Her Heart" was my favourite so far. Oh and Talisco by request.
