This show was 14th in the global 90s chart, 26th in the global classics chart, 27th in the global alternative chart, 43rd in the global indie chart and 57th in the global rock chart.
By the end of the 80's, dance culture was dominant, and decent new guitar tracks seemed few and far between. The impact of Nirvana's classic "Nevermind" released in '91 really can't be over estimated and for a while I was well into US Alt Rock, wearing plaid shirts, ripped jeans and moodily staring at my shoes. This continued until '94 when the Britpop thrills of Oasis "Definitely Maybe", Blur "Parklife" and Pulp "His 'N' Hers" arrived to save guitar music in the UK.
Other classic albums featured are: Beastie Boys "Ill Communication", Green Day "Dookie", Weezer "Blue Album", U2 "Achtung Baby" and Rage Against The Machine. There's classic tracks from REM, James, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cranberries, Primal Scream, Veruca Salt, Sonic Youth and Red Hot Chili Peppers. And personal favourites like Belly and Soup Dragons.
