NEW SHOW!!!

Allow me to introduce my new show, Archivalesque, which will grace MIXCLOUD and SOUNDCLOUD every Monday this summer! But what makes this show different from Maison Dufrene Show on Wednesday? Let me try to collect my emotions and explain this to you… calmly(seeing as I am very excited to share this music!)

See when I started making these mixes back in ‘12/’13 one my main goals was to provide capsules for me revisit down the line (2022 maybe?) and marvel at the enduring quality of these songs that, while they started out nearly 50 years old to begin with, haven’t aged a day or lost a beat in ten years!

Unlike Maison Dufrene Show, which is mostly comprised of music I came upon over the last few years, Archivalesque represents the five or six years before that when I decided to devote close to 98% of my listening to music made before 1975. These songs, which were mostly taken from vinyl, take me back to certain points in my life and music development. There is no better way the emphasize this music and it wouldn’t be the least bit untrue or disingenuous to say that THIS MUSIC CHANGED MY LIFE. Please accept my attempt to share it with you and PLEASE do the same.
