Simon Slieker’s 18 year pursuit as a dj and audio artist has been one of immersion into the dynamics of the dancefloor. His love of electronic music and dance culture is a lifelong unraveling of a techno ball of string; an examination of the dance journey, that most particular undertaking, evocative of inner worlds and old wisdom accessed by the body in motion. The sense of journey he creates as a dj is indicative of this: insistent and intense yet sensitive to the subtle textures which allow breath. The throughline, a mesmerizing and hypnotic drive. Focussing on the art of vinyl in the mix. Techno, minimal, progressive, tech house: the pigmentation of the soundscape.
