Dolphin Centauri Interstellar Trek
Our starship, after wandering throughout the Milky Way, receives a message from friendly life forms beckoning us to visit. What to behold, but a planet inhabited by dolphins, the actual cradle of intelligent life! We swim among them in tune with the most beautiful music, the code of civilized beings across the universe. Take this nearly two hour voyage with the sweetest music to surround your own space with these personal favorites of mine.

Such a unique and beautiful journey. The vocals before the midpoint are an unusual, but not too distracting, turn of events. LOL I was expecting that there would be another set of vocals somewhere in the second half to have vocal 'bookends'—and there they were, to introduce the finale. :) The ending goes out with a reminder of where we started in the story. I love the way you add little surprise tidbits at the end sometimes. In MY mind, I could see the first half (and maybe add one of the ending vocals and part of "9.25") as a soundtrack to a Sci-Fi animated short film; and from your description, it sounds like there is one already in YOUR mind. 🙂Good luck with the copyright issues with that one, I guess. LOL
Geesh, I haven't listened to this in years. I wrote none of these, it is a mix like the majority of what populates Mixcloud, so they handle the copyright. I also just throw things together, I do not have any formula or analyze it too much, I just put down the music I like.
This was the latest song I wrote and played using my newer equipment. Give it a listen, the deep bass cello is gripping if you have headphones or a good sound system, let me know what you think, I value your input.

@MST3K What I was referring to was that if you wanted to use the music in this mix to make a short film, you would have to consider the copyrights to the music before you could present it. But then again, I forgot, you write your OWN music and design your OWN graphics, so there you go; people can make all sorts of things for free with AI and computers these days. ;) You could enter your 'Dolphin Centauri Interstellar Trip' short film (such a cool title) into one of the short film festivals. Speaking of film festivals, if you have a 'spare' 10 minutes, you might enjoy this musical short film. It has a mystery surprise ending (Guido said it brought him to tears). https://www.pbs.org/video/the-ballad-of-rose-mae-ecte0o/ AND/OR You might also like this 5 minute animated musical short film: https://www.pbs.org/video/the-sadness-in-fish-food-tdnijt/ P.S. You are so talented, without realizing it, you ACTUALLY DO create a formula and do analysis; it is just done more subconsciously. Your work has too much quality to be random.
@angela-land Thank you, you are too kind, but I'm old had had a lot of time to teach myself a few things. After high school I never wanted to be in a school ever again and did all I can to focus on creating stuff with whatever medium was at my disposal. I'll try and see the videos, but to be earnest, most content from PBS over the past couple decades has been a giant load of woke nonsense, but I'll go in with an open mind, I could be wrong. Did you ever get to my Substack?

@MST3K I know what you mean about learning new things on the computer, or anywhere else for that matter, these days. If I get another message that they have "improved something" (that I am going to have to learn how to do, when I just got good at doing the current method) I might scream. 😮My husband's old flip phone died several years ago and we had to get him a new one --- he still can only make and receive calls on it. LOL I am dreading when the car dies, with all of these cars that practically drive themselves, but really don't. Now I know how the people in the 'old days' who rode horses felt when those new-fangled trains came in. LOL The films I sent you are top quality, or I would not have sent them. 🙂Yes, I did get your link to the substack and glanced it last night, and just saw the link to your latest song. I only have the speakers on the laptop and some ear buds, so I am not a good judge of sound quality. I am the person who as a teen used to listen to the radio with the antenna cord draped across the floor in order to get the one staticky radio station that played rock music instead of the country music my parents listened to, so I have never been picky about stereo sound quality, as long as it is good music. :)
@angela-land You are a priceless boost to my morale! I'm working in my woodshop the rest of the day, but I promise to review the videos. Thank you for being such a cool friend, I'll get back to you when I've got the time to sit at my desk again - yes, I even have computers in my shop. I'm such a nerd. Take care, much love. 🙏🌎☮️
Dave
@angela-land Hey, I lead off Guido's "In The Zone - August" set, although I don't think I'm worthy of being included among the really great talent that he selected for it, I'm thrilled anyways!
@MST3K I saw it. Congratulations! Who are WE to argue with the Maestro Guido, huh? ;) You also took a place of honor in my choice of tracks that I select to make comments about for 'In the Zone.' :) I only make comments on remarkable music that moves me btw. 🙂The only suggestion I had for "Summer twilight" was to edit out the crickets at the beginning (which I think Guido did). The crickets at the end suffice to evoke the season and bring closure to the track. I love the little surprise percussive tidbit near the beginning of the piece. It adds interest. Keep up the great work! 🙂
Great musical journey here 🎵🎧👍👍
Huge love and thanks to you Guillaume! 🌎☮
Another great set & selection... One tip. Make your sets about one hour long. Better 2 sets of one hour then one set of 2 hours. ;-) Makes people listen more & be more engaged.
Roger that on the length. Got another one cooking. Thank you so much for the support and kind words. Means a lot! 🌏☮
Cool session!!
Thanks a lot! I'm finding out how to do this now, I'll probably make them a bit shorter from now on, it is hard to keep people engaged for nearly two hours. I love what you do with your shows, I alternate between you and about five others. Music 24/7 in my house and shop. ☆*: .。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆🌎☮
Yes to long mixes make people drop off, thank you for your comment my friend, I'm glad you enjoy the music :)
