There’s a certain type of rave music that sounds like it was discovered rather than produced.
Half remembered pirate radio transmissions. Dubplates left in the boot of a Vauxhall Cavalier in 1993. The sound of a warehouse after 4am when the strobes start feeling emotional.

This mix lives somewhere in that territory.

Modern breakbeat pressure collides with old-school jungle instinct, hardcore muscle and strange leftfield moments that shouldn’t work together — but absolutely do.

There are tracks in here that feel playful, tracks that feel genuinely menacing, and tracks that sound like somebody sampled a rave memory directly from their subconscious.

Which is usually a good sign.

Respect the past. Disrupt the present. Never fear the edge.
