Mood enhancing music, more please! Morecambe Odeon never looked better.
Thanks! There probably will be more Intermissions...
(Bet you identified Morecambe Odeon without having to "search on image")
@LordBrettHeadset 🤭👍🏾
Ha! you're right. I was sure it was the old Odeon in Isleworth but I checked it out.
Sweet like honey.✌️
Thanks!
loving this mate! going to borrow at least one of these for the next xmas mix I make in 2025 ;) Merry Christmas sir!
Cheers Julian, and season's greetings to you and yours :)
Reminds of easy times in Brazil. Not in the 60s - by the way, but in the 90s ;-) But the mood is well captured... ☀️
Thanks SF, they sound like memories worth bringing back. Happy holidays!
great stuff - this'll definitely do while another Dreamticket is percolating.
thoroughly enjoyed and, of course, thoroughly approving of the bossa excursions.
"shafts of sunlight on patterned formica" - I like that evocation.
hope all's well, P🙏🖖
Thanks for listening Papa, hope you're all good too.
Will be contacting you and CoS with news of an interesting development this week...
ooh, intriguing...! btw, loved that Elis opener. 🙏🥭
This was a lovely intermission. And the title suggests it won't be the last. I think it's safe to say you know a little about me when it comes to my musical preferences, John. This was absolutely my cup of tea! Or in my case "coffee" ;-)
Just love these cool 60´s style Bossa tunes, could listen to them all day long. Couln´t pick favs from the setlist, because they were all so good.
Have a great weekend, John!
Thanks Andras, have a great weekend yourself. Good to make the FB connection as well and have a window into each other's lives beyond Mixcloud. :)
I do like a bit of bossa myself. I know that you're a listener, like myself, to @papamango's excellent "Para Paizinho" series and I'm sure you'd agree that that would be a good avenue to explore for anyone who liked the bossa bits in this set.
Just seeing the artist list brought an “Oh yeah!” on this one, John. Great selections and a smooth mid-century groove!
Thought you might like it, if only because you're even more "vintage" than myself...😉
Have a good weekend Patrick.
Love it
Thanks!
Lovely stuff LBH. Just tuned in while appropriately reclining on my (reproduction) Eames lounge chair. Contemplating donning a polo-neck, sparking a Gitane and reciting Kerouac and Ginsberg to some cool cats. A beautifully evocative mix and a welcome break from the madness that is 2024. Groovy man! ✌️
PS. how did I get to my grand age without being aware of that Aretha track?? 🤯
Eames reproduction = method listening 😄
And, on my life, I had a black polo neck come in the post last week.
Just felt like getting a bit more casual and less angsty as the festive season gears up. (Also couldn't resist the lure of saving Dreamticket #25 for 2025. Maybe I'll publish it on 25/1/25 ...)
Sometimes, I think that Aretha track is my favourite of hers. But that's a tough call.
You’ve inspired me, quickly sticking together a little additional mix of some classics I like that soothe my soul in response. How many sleeps until the 25th January btw?
