My recent musical tranquilisers have included two mixes by Ash Long (looks like a Papamango connection). Effective and not twee, vacuous or ambient-by-numbers. There's some content there. Proper soundscapes.
Or, at the opposite end of the electro-acoustic spectrum, a couple of folk flavoured sets from ph and FantasticExpedition.

Must be nice to be in Berlin for the autumn? Could quite fancy a walk through the Tiergarten then finish up at that Sunday morning flea market on the corner - if it's still there.

Hey Lord, yes the autumn season is beautiful in Berlin. A walk in the beautiful parks of Berlin is always particularly nice at this time of year. I also really like the Tiergarten, too. But my absolute favorite park is the Rehberge Park in the district of Wedding. And yes, the flea market at the Tiergarten still exists.

Thanks for the tip Furio. Visited Berlin twice (pre-Brexit bullshit) and hope to get there again someday. Fine city. Don't know if the Lido is still in business in Kreuzberg but I had a great night out there in the late 00s when Sonar Kollektiv Orchester played there.
London park tips if you're ever over - go south of the river for Battersea Park. One of my favourites.

Thanks for the park tip in London. You don't have to say anything about London, of course. An absolutely fantastic and wonderful city. I used to visit there more often when my wife was still studying at Cambridge. Oh yes, the Lido is still there. But haven't been there for a long time. Funny coincidence, my active Lido time was also in the 2000s. Maybe we happened to be there at the same time.

PS - is that Joanna Macgregor and Andy Sheppard piece a cover (or reference) to an old Brian Eno tune? really familiar harmony but can't place yet...

I wouldn't be surprised about Eno because he's keen on gospel, isn't he? And the Macgregor-Sheppard piece feels familiar because it's building on some standard gospel changes. The tunes that I've got it filed next to in my head are Carla Bley's "The Lord Is Listening To You, Hallelujah" and the Stones "I Got The Blues"!

yep, that's the one (Eno - The Big Ship). I ended up listening to the album earlier.
am sure you're right about it being dna based - whichever, loved the Macgregor-Sheppard piece (will be investigating the album it's from).

PS - am in vaguely normal shape again, thanks. it was a dead-ringer for what other people I know have tested positive for lately but the LFTs were negative for me, so who knows...!
