Thanks Vodem. The Arp track is from their 2018 album Zebra which I only heard this year. Papamango and I agree that Parallelism is the standout track on that - but I'd used that already.

I see we've both been feeling the love for Patrick aka pfktoledo's Invisible Rules set. Wasn't that Little Pocket Size Demons track a blast? Can imagine that fitting into a Music For Being set.

Yes, yes and thrice; Patrick's Threadgill set was awesome and that Laswell produced 'little demons' piece blew me away (album wish-listed); you're comment on the punk link was bang on and you're on the money re it suiting an mbm sometime.

Alice Boyd's music is something that I've only just started checking out, but she seems to be just as strong and original at songwriting as at production/sound design from what I've heard. Really engaging.

She's also one half of The Alice and Joe Show who are definitely worth checking out on Mixcloud. I think you'd like those sets.

Thanks Patrick. I like the contrast between those two acoustic guitar pieces: Metheny muted and tender on nylon strings, McLaughlin a lot tougher and more visceral on steel strings.

That Alice Boyd song is lush, isn't it? Been checking out her music since I twigged that she was one half of The Alice and Joe Show who I listen to regularly on Mixcloud. Seems like there's a spectrum between this kind of songwriting and processing/manipulation of found sounds from nature.
