Thanks
great soundquality / groovy selection , fresh & funky !
Thanks for listening!
listening never hurted me ,..
great one M'Lord - felt like I'd arrived, after a journey, at the source of a mighty river here...
for me this one kind of flickered at the beginning and then soon, more & more progressively, settled ever firmly into a golden-glowing groove, each track embellishing or deepening the last.
and that Maisha piece at the close - yes; there definitely is a place! beautiful stirring stuff.
so, really nice work and I feel fully balmed after it (believe me, was needed as it arrived - work annoyance was neutralised by the music). anyhow, molto grazie! P🙏🍷
Cheers for such generous comments P, so good to know this has been reaching such receptive ears!
This mix was sitting around on my computer with the name "dreamjazznfuzzybrainvibes" for a while before I decided to go down the Mixcloud route with these. So "dreamjazznfuzzybrainvibes" was the starting point here even if it didn't necessarily turn out to be a manifesto...
Totally with you on the Maisha tune. Absolutely one of the most beautiful and expressive pieces of music that I've heard in the last ten years.
I had the good fortune to see Maisha live a few years back, at a short-lived but adventurous venue in Peckham called Ghost Notes. They brought a string section along as well so there were around fifteen musicians performing. *fantastic*
nice one Brett - I'll be investigating more by Maisha pronto. that live show sounds like must have been amazing...
Very nice mix!
Thanks Mr W, appreciate that coming from you. And thanks for putting us on to George Nelson because he'd slipped under my radar. That was a really interesting show. Will definitely be checking a couple of those Amp Studio sessions out. Fancy the book as well.
Fine show! More please your Lordship.
Glad you liked , always enjoyed your sessions a lot when I've listened in.
