This is a fun one! This 2-hour episode features songs w/mallet instruments (xylophone, vibraphone, marimba, steel drums, etc.), of which there are surprisingly a lot of in the Little Records library. The mallets were popular with the post-punks and new-/no-wave weirdos. We'll hear from Jazz Butcher, Nick Cave, Tortoise, The Triffids, Stereolab, Violent Femmes, Cleaners From Venus, Girls Against Boys, The Creatures, English Beat, The Psychedelic Furs, Helium, The Method Actors, and many more. And, maybe a first in the history of DJ-ing: Liquid Liquid spun into Cardinal.
