The one they call M3 played a fantastic selection of tunes on this episode of Lips & Rhythm. From ska, to hip hop, house, disco and funk, M3 blended favorites from across the board. M3 a.k.a. Manny Alferez, has been a mover and a shaper of the San Francisco dance music community since the 90s, playing parties with the Green Gorilla Lounge. For years he owned Tweakin' Records in the Lower Haight and a club on Market street called Triple Crown.
He's currently a part owner of Monarch night club, one of the best places in San Francisco to dance to forward thinking music bumped over their cutting edge Void Acoustics sound system. He also puts out productions as one half of the duo Sleight of Hand. Sit tight, get loose and enjoy this session from one of the Bay Area's most versatile DJs.
