Music for Liminal Spaces (longplay)

Welcome to the "Director's Cut" of Music for Liminal Spaces, the Liminal Longplay, consisting of 3 separate sets - two transitionary and one final, each 90 mins.

Music for Liminal Spaces focuses on the sounds that accompany the haunting transitionary worlds of 20th Century capitalism. Abandoned shopping malls, play areas, derelict social housing projects.

Take a walk down fluorescent, strip-light hospital corridors stretching into infinite oblivion.

This long play seeks to take the listener on a journey cumulating in the ceasing of movement as ambient abstractions give way to religious choral music and contemporary classical, as structure is finally found in death and poetry.

Eno, Reich, Greenwood, Sakamoto, Yokota fly the flag for this journey with interludes inspired by the darkest corners of 90s video games and fatal flourishes from orthodox doctrines.

Enjoy at your own peril.

Recommended listening setting: dark & lonesome train rides, powered by Diesel engines.
