There is nothing like getting your hands dusty in a dollar bin and finding the sample of one of your favorite song... The feeling when I drop the needle and recognize the break is something I can't get tired of!!! The first sample of this mix is probably what started it all for me. I think back at when I heard Gladys Knight saying "the good old days" and singing " Can it be that it was all so simple then".... I remember saying to myself " this old track that sounds like something my grandmother can listen too is actually a part of the sample of my favorite hip hop track!!!!! " I was blown away... that was my turning point! I can honestly say that it's because of rap music that my musical range is so wide now. Note to self; sometimes you only need a dollar to be happy!!!! ;)
