When Dilla passed away I thought of doing a tribute myself. But after I heard one by J. Rocc, an incredible DJ who was close to him for a long time, I put the idea on ice. Too good, how can I do better than that!!!
A month ago, Clone Funk uploaded a pretty good Dilla mix. I realized that, with all the years that have passed since his death, my knowledge of his music had grown a lot. And even if I'm not J. Rocc, I have to do this too!!! After the approval of Clone Funk to do a part 2 to his Dilla Dope, well, here it is!!!!
It's 100 degrees in Montreal right now and I wanted to keep a summer vibe, so the part 2 is mostly some funky Jay Dee. You've got some rare Old school tracks he has produced or remixed too. More volumes will appear one day....
Enjoy!
