We aim to send messages through the medium of records, regardless of genre, year, era, colour, size, styrene or vinyl, clear or opaque, you get the picture...
Hip-Hop has shaped us all at the Joint in some way or another. Like it or not, Hip-Hop has conquered the system and left an indelible mark on our brutal, rebellious spirits. It started as a conscious movement delivered by folks who lived that shit, and, of course, like so many other things, turned into a ridiculous parody of itself. The digging, the culture, the politics, the non-violent "struggle is real" hustle and bustle of disenchanted youth, the street-corner preachers playing to the beat of their own drums...
Regardless of what idiots tell you, music is much like a man that owns a suggestively "dangerous" breed of dog. Who's the dangerous one?!
Mr. Galactus is. Armed with the tools from the old world and a spirit that never falters. A student of Hip-Hop turned professor, an appreciator, an archivist, a historian
