Vast, colorless plains sit far away from inhabited areas. A few decaying roads and structures remain as a reminder of long-gone habitation, silently awaiting restoration, however improbable that may be.
Abandoned Fields is a drone ambient mix made from netlabel music (except a couple of my own tracks) and field recordings from Freesound.org. It is post-processed to have a slightly lo-fi gritty sound with reduced stereo width for stylistic purposes, as well as for glueing the tracks more tightly together. The overall sound is quite even and constant, which might make it ideal for a "transparent" background music or a sleep mix.
