Deeply, deeply layered, returning themes, dreamy, moody, dark.
A continuation from the first 'Focus', this one takes it to the next level with almost continuously 4 decks running, intended to give a sense of hypnotic trance while fully aware and awake.
Also, I finally found the mix "Frantic" by Orbital was the perfect intro for. \o/
Thank you for listening, and as always, please fave and repost only when you did. Enjoy a smooth, fluid trip through techno audioscapes made from recent releases and promos.
Thank you again :)
(edit: after a few comments, the tag 'techno' has been dropped in favor of the tag 'hard techno')

Absolutely loved this set! Like Tekra, for me it was hard as well.... even when it goes into the ethereal parts, it can get very sinister and thats what makes it hard... in my opinion, anyway. Top work, totally enjoyed this one!
^5 Severeldea! Your comment makes me grin ear-to-ear!
It looks like I'll have to adjust my measure for 'hard' and tag it more appropriately then as well. Thank you for your input, it helps me a lot in being able to define a style to my audience.
Hey I'm really glad I could give you my input. It is just my opinion though, so not to say that you've mis-labeled it or anything. It really is just an opinion. :) Keep it up and can't wait for Focus III?
Your opinion matters :)
I intentionally left out the 'hard techno' tag because I didn't find it hard enough to warrant it, but other than you and Tekra I've had the comment a few times more, so I'm adjusting my definition. This is a good thing ;)
Focus III will be made. Coming Friday I aim to record a new Live Dark&Hard at the SL Boiler room containing my fav tracks of this year. If I find time between xmas and new year, Focus may have another turn before 2016, otherwise it'll be next year. It *will* be made, however. Thank you for asking ^_^
Sorry, but I have a huge problem with this set.
It's so good it needs to be longer :)
Ha! Funny you mention that it's too short - I agree!
The first take, with the same tracks, was actually ~60 minutes, but I ended up layering so much it all came out a lot shorter than intended. Lesson learned: I need ~16-17 tracks per hour.
Glad you feel it's so good, especially knowing you're not a big techno fan ^_^
Deep,dark tones.Superb hard driving techno.
Really enjoyed this MacB!
Bravo!
Thank you so much, Tekra!
I'm a little surprised you call it 'hard' - but maybe my measure for 'hard' is a bit off since I'm so used to banging and booming, that as soon as it becomes more ethereal it doesn't feel as 'hard' anymore.
Either way, I'm flattered with your ears and comment. Really makes my day!
Wave of sometimes violent sound pressure and deep sound drifting the deep sea :D i like it.
Beautifully said, Luna, thank you so much ^_^;;
