Hey everyone! As you can see, mixcloud has a cool new feature; posts! I thought it would be a great opportunity to tell you something about the past period and what is to come.
For those of you who have been following my page for a while; you may have noticed that there has been little activity until a few months ago. I was busy with other important things in life and other DJ projects, so there was simply no time to work on my ITMS mixes as well. However, the pandemic has changed many aspects. For example, I have recently been able to spend a lot of time with my family - which I am (and will continue to be) grateful for from day one of the first lockdown. In addition, I did not spend a minute in the nightlife and / or on a dance floor. Although I now ardently long for a hedonistic night of dancing, the absence of nightlife also has its pleasant sides; my focus has shifted from dance music to listening music - because yes, dance music is fun, but especially on the dance floor. And yes, if you spend a lot of time at home, you also have a lot of time to listen to music. And since ITMS has always been my more listening music-oriented project, it surfaced automatically during the lockdown. Since then I have made a number of new mixes, including a number of studio mixes; something that I had been working on in my head for years, but had never put into practice. The studio mix is the pinnacle of DJing for me. Admittedly; it has little to do with the idea of DJing as it once started, but if you consider DJing as the perfect blending of two songs (as I like to see it) then the studio mix is the perfect tool for this.
Plans for a new studio mix are currently being made. I'm also playing around with the idea of producing music as ITMS, but so far that is not much more than a vague idea. So keep a close eye on this page for new mixes and irregular live streams. There is much more to come!
