Well People, this one is a little bit special. I've taken the plunge, and splurged out on a digital controller, but something that still supports my decks when I feel the need(a Traktor S8). This is why I've been quiet these last couple of weeks; its taken me that long just to grasp the basics. So here we go, the first mix I sorta feel happy with(a couple of sketchy starts, but hey, a slidey touch strip, vr's a Technics pitch takes a little bit of getting used to). There is def gonna ba a point where your'e going to wonder where I'm going with this mix, but all those little breakbeat trails lead somewhere nice. Congrats on the digital crossover bruv! ⚡ So u went for the flagship S8, heard a lot of positives on that controller. Supposed to be a real creative machine once ya get to grips with it. Not sure about the touch sensitive pitch? Prefer to retain some organic feel myself. Hello mate, yeah, Def missing my deck spin backs/stop brake fx's when playing vinyl. Although, I'm pretty sure I can save the equivalent, and assign it to a button instead. I've just gotta school up, and keep at it. Thanks for the props anyway mate.👍

That tune at 8 mins is sic man, sounds like you are getting to grips with your new hardware..don't even know what a slidey touch strip pitch control is, sounds worryingly imprecise although I am sure I am wrong

Thanks for all the comments my friend. Yes, def the next step for me, but needed a controller that still supported my decks, which the S8 fits the bill perfectly, now if I could only get it to connect them without it saying I've got earthing problems all the time....Grrrrr. The other prob I have is, a few of the tracks don't get analised properly; ie, the track will get read at half the bpm speed of the preceeding tune, no matter how many times i try to analise that tune outside of that set. All the fuck ups you here on this one is me trying to match the bpm manually on those particular tunes that are like that using a method that currently is so foreign to me. I'll get it, it's just a matter of time. Which means every mix should start getting better(hopefully). It does'nt help that I'm the sorta guy who will plough on without looking at any instructions for any sorta problem, and make it work most of the time, but with this I'm really having to start at page one, and muddle through. It also did'nt come with any manuals when I bought it, so everything so far has been gleened via Youtube, so next job is to actually find a manual for this, download, and have a good read, because apart from the cross/faders/rotary level/tone controls/play/cue buttons, everything else is pretty much a mystery. Ha :)
(Ha, if you heard scratching, it most def was'nt me. I can only dream of putting down effects like that at the mo. Track at 8:00 is 'Necka Pill (Original Mix)'-by Doctor Jeep. Last part of the mix came together alright mostly, because it actually did what I asked of it, until that one or two from the end, where 'User error' intervened again).

On rekordbox you can double or halve the bpm, that's what I do for the bpm problem, should be something similar on traktor

Yeah, I've managed to make some in-roads on doubling/halving the bpm's to match, but very much a work in progress. Cheers mate.
