A Christmas Rorschach

So, here's a mix which is kind of a memory lane of albums played at my house when I was a kid, and a little of what my kids hear me playing now. The only unifying thread being that these songs have no twist, take, update, or clever wryness in them at all. The albums scratched to oblivion by my folks in the early 60s included the Kingston Trio, Harry Belafonte who was just dreamy to my mom, the Vienna Boys Choir, the Music Box Christmas... The album in the picture here was unplayably damaged and then lost as far back as I can remember, but the cover stayed in the pile of Christmas records. There's some of the then-just-post-cool folk movement, and traditional choral things, and a few pop things. Tho Tammy Wynette and Der Bingle wouldn't have been played... So enjoy what I believe to be the Christmas Music People Who Hate Christmas Music Like the Least!
