We all know punk, but what happens when punk needs to stay in past 11pm? The emergence of post-punk (late '70s) harkened a new era of experimentation and reflection as unintelligible punk shredding and lyrics became masterworks of guitar riffs and more playful songwriting. Influences range from jazz, world music, avant-garde and other genres such as new wave to the original punk aesthetics / structure.
