THMP3R - Thmp3ring

THMP3R (AKA JANNA LEWIS) has been an avid “House Head” since the 1990s. To support herself during graduate school, Janna combined her love of HOUSE with her business skills, founding an all-female DJ service called “Vinylycious” in 2001. Janna played private parties with other female DJs like HOLLY ADAMS, GINGER JOHNSON and ERIN LEVANG. By 2003, Vinylycious had evolved into a female DJ duo in which Janna and Ginger performed 2×4 sets at clubs throughout Los Angeles, including The Palace (now Avalon), the Gate (where they had a weekly residency called Reverb) and Insomnia (then LA’s longest running after hours club). Vinylycious also made appearances in Durham, NC, Las Vegas, NV, at 1015 Folsom in San Francisco, and WMC in Miami.

After law school, Janna hung up her headphones to join corporate America – but in 2018, she thought it might be possible to be a great lawyer and a great DJ. She decided to find out, left the corporate world, and returned to the LA house scene as THMP3R.
