Jesse Chavarin aka Djembe has been a part of the LA scene since the early 90's. As a part of Sacred Grounds and his separate projects such as Reversion and Subculture parties in the early and mid 2000's he has always followed the more urban and gritty side of dance music. With early influences such as Wicked Crew, Chocolate Factory, Derrick Carter, Green Velvet, Doc, Sneak, Mark Farina, (just to name a few), and the LA crew he up playing with; you can here all of those influences and more in his sound.
