Folk Mix #2 - John Prine Tribute

In this Folk Mix, we pay tribute to the great John Prine who passed on April 7th at the age of 73. He composed most of the songs on his first album while delivering mail on his postal route. He soon won over audiences with his down to earth songs with extraordinary lyrics. John Prine seemed to think in rhyme, and his lyrics sparked imagery that was just mind-blowing. In this mix, we’ll explore his 50-year music career, from his first self-titled album through his last release from 2018 “Tree of Forgiveness”. We’ll also hear from many others who have covered the songs of John Prine.
