FLR15 - UT7

Coming from a small town in the north of Portugal, Ânia Utset, known as UT7, had her first experience as a DJ in 2012. From then onwards, she has been building a vast musical culture that she’s shared with audiences from the North to the South of Portugal, with passages through some of it’s most respected clubs. Through her performances, she displays an hypnotic style, leaning on dense textures and impactful rhythms which never forget how to groove. Her intention when playing music is clear: she wants to turn the dancers into passengers of a voyage to a different dimension, an alternate reality away from our own. She describes her influences as combination of sounds made uo of the subterranean echoes of Berlin, the rich synthetic string arrangements of techno’s cradle, Detroit, and the trademark Italian headtrip, touched by the emotion and minimalist melodies of the relentless Swedish style.
