I Can't Give you anything but Love was recorded in 1957 at a Bob Cort session, the performances from which were to become the album 'Ain't it a Shame (To Sing Skiffle on Sunday)'. Bob, was having a drink at the bar during the break when Ken, Nigel Sinclair, Viv Clambake Carter and George Jennings gave an impromptu performance of 'I can't give...' Despite Bob's absence, it found its way onto the album.
