Ouch! Those birthday celebrations certainly went with a bang, what with them coinciding with the pubs opening again and the weather allowing for sitting outside all day (and night). Sadly a couple of the Magnificent Seven Family Tree DJs were unable to make it and one of those was Makersmark (being in Sweden made joining the party a little difficult). One good thing means he's actually in a fit state to bring you the top quality show you all look forward to on a Monday...............................now where is that Nurofen?

Music for sunny days. I really liked your musical choices for this show.
Really enjoyed this show Mark, loved the bluesy first half such as that Tim Maia track and the story that went with it! I can't hear that Greyboy track without chuckling about the DJ Shadow break, "Eyes as big as Jolly Rachers" it was a beautiful mix, a beautiful mix.
Thanks so much Matt - it’s sometimes hard to be objective when you’ve put so much into a show - always great to hear peeps have enjoyed the listen. I’d completely forgotten that DJ Shadow break!
Yaw, Frantique, Point Blank, Guy called Gerald, Masters at Work and a good few more would have all had me on the rewind, if such a feature were available on basic mixcloud! :) Cheers Mark, great selections...
Thanks Danny... there’s always the ‘restart and scroll back to where you need’ feature! Hasn’t quite got the same ring to it though.
Great show Mark, really like the disco section. And that Jimpster record is so good.
Really enjoyed the HOUSE section too mate, sounded ace on a sunny Friday afternoon
Nice one... it's been a while since I had a HOUSE section on the 'Tree. It was time.
That Dave Lee mix of Willie Hutch is so good, brilliant treatment of a massive fave of mine. Hadn’t actually heard that before.
Really enjoyed this 👌
Excellent!
Nice one Mark. Loved the Bluesy feel throughout the first half and, like Matt, I'm a big fan of that Mike and the Sensations track. Gotta love Shuggie and Willie Hutch too.
Thanks Phil... gonna listen to your new mix on my journey home from work later!
Those first 38 minutes were, for me, really spot on, marvellous. Willie Hutch & Johnnie Taylor up there too. Excellent stuff.
Glad you enjoyed (some of) it! No seriously... thanks for the ears as always.
Yes, sorry, my well-intended comment misfired! It's a shameful truth that I'm not much of a fan of the dreaded house music... but I did listen to it all :-)...... and I did very much enjoy the bits I enjoyed... which, collectively, were a substantial amount of the show!
Don't be daft lad! All good, I know you're not a fan of the doof doof @broncofly
Mike & the Sensations ❤️❤️❤️
