Aisling Daly is a twenty three year old Dubliner. She lives with her parents and has a part time job in a shoe shop after taking some time out from doing her English and History degree. But Aisling is no ordinary twenty-something, Ais “The Bash” Daly, is Ireland’s top female cage fighter.

Ranked fifth in the world for her division, Ais has competed in scores of tournaments globally, has lost only once and is quickly on her way to world domination. Cage fighting, or Mixed Martial Arts as is its preferred title, is growing rapidly in Ireland, but with no governing body and heavy criticism about regulation in the sport, it has a less than rosey reputation.
