It was Good Friday that the text arrived
“..Been admitted to the Leeds General Infirmary ... gonna have surgery ....
Surgeon may phone you if owt goes wrong”
Seven years younger than I, we met on the road many moons ago…
we had a lot in common,…
like me he had no next of kin, in fact he had no Birth Certificate
(born in an lay-by in Ireland, his mother never got round to registering his birth)…
so we adopted each other …
it wasn’t long afore people just accepted we were brothers…
he became my official “Carer” when I became “ill” ...
represented me in my absence at my Disability Tribunal (and WON)…
now he has an egg-sized tumour on his brain which has doubled in size quite rapidly……
Operating approx 11;30am this morning.
One Love
Tracklist
Playing tracks by Bob Dylan, max romeo, melanie, richie havens, john lennon and more.

He has risen…let us rejoice!
General Gonzo Yehti and the Good Dr swung the green beastie between the bollards, mounted the pavement and parked among the catheter wielding zombies and chain smoking next of kins…”stay cool” whispered the Dr “these poor sods are on the edge of very different chasms, and your wardrobe may easily tip them over the edge”…security guards gave us the usual ”yer allright fella…we’ll keep our eye on it” wink as we hurried for the lifts
…what to expect?...well, the op took 7hrs (the surgeon found a few bits n bobs rattlin around in there, that needed tidying up)we had already allowed him a good knight’s slumber…we were rewarded by a happy (slightly manic) little bruvver with absolutely zilch short term memory (prob temporary said t’surgeon) a semi=paralised leg (which is easing by the hour) and, without the easter egg pressing on his optic nerve, his sight is now better than before
he says thank you for your messages and and was quite emotional
me?...I say " One Huge Love to you from the heart"
....6:30pm.....still in theatre....but they have called for a bed....sounds positive

4:30pm...he's still in theatre....will update as soon as i can

So very sorry to hear the awful news about Chesh, he is a great friend that I sadly lost touch with, he was and still is a great inspiration to me, please keep me informed of his condition, one love
