Alison - thank you for listening - and taking the time to leave a comment - I used to go to both Flying - at the soho theatre club - and Ophelia - at the gardening club - back then - a lot of the tunes got played in both places - there`s an Ophelia mix here - https://www.mixcloud.com/Dr_Rob/dr-rob-memories-of-ophelia-the-gardening-club-covent-garden-1991/

I think there are also 2 more Flying mixes - plus a Yellow book one - did you ever go there?

Dr Rob i would label it Balearic rather than ambient personally

What an absolutely beautifully put together set Dr rob, I have such fond memories of watching and listening live t the likes of rocky and diesel, weatherall, fabi, Phil Perry, dean thatcher, ect. Also buying flying vinyls and playing them had a massive influence on me as a young twenty one year old man who played out here in staffs.

I have just read and listened to Flying parts 1, 2, and 3 and have to say that you took me right back there! The Farm at The Astoria, the incredible music we were so fortunate to have as the soundtrack to those golden, no, platinum years! Flying at Soho Theatre club was in a league of its own. I remember first hearing "Give me some love" as I came up on my first ever pill. It was life-changing for sure. Glad to hear from somebody who loved it as much as I did. Nice writing too...

Great mix brought back memories of Soho Thatre club nights and the shop in the basement of Kensington Market
