The Progressive House journey continues… but somewhere along the way I took a wrong turn. Or maybe the right one. 😄
Those recent Progressive House sessions turned out to be a gateway drug, and before I knew it I had wandered into the world of Trance. So welcome to my very first trance set!
This week’s recordbox features 15 tracks across 1 hour and 15 minutes. We start at a relaxing 134 BPM and steadily build all the way to 144 BPM. Expect uplifting melodies, hypnotic grooves, driving basslines and plenty of energy from start to finish.
I had an absolute blast doing this one and I don’t think it’ll be the last.

Dear Dave, congratulations on your first trance session. I’m really impressed. I think it’s great when a DJ ventures into other genres. Back when I started going to techno parties in the early 90s, it was normal for different genres to be played on the same dancefloor, depending on the DJ. House would follow techno, then trance, and so on. For me, that was always the appeal—exploring different genres, both as a raver and as a DJ. I like trance and play a set like that once or twice a year myself. I look forward to hearing more from you. You did a great job. Have a wonderful week 👊👌👍🤙💯🤗🫶🤩
