The 60s was a decade that broke many fashion traditions, mirroring social movements during the time. The popular fashion was Mary Quant's mini skirt, and the pillbox hat which was introduced by Jackie Kennedy. London's Carnaby Street and Chelsea's Kings Road were virtual fashion parades. Top models were Twiggy, Penelope Tree, Jean Shrimpton, Colleen Corby. Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool, was the place to be and where it all started to happen their were around 400 different bands that were active, and often playing ballrooms, concert halls and clubs like the Cavern.
