Dave Mata is one of the founding members of the Soul Summit dance party in Chicago. He is also an integral member of the Impala Sound Champions, which run several different late night events around town. In his exclusive mix for Discogs, Mata lays down a wide array of sounds, from the soulful to the psychedelic, that can be heard at the Soul Summit party, but also should be the soundtrack for your summer days to come.

Soul Summit takes place every third Saturday of the month at Chicago’s Double Door. Soul Summit challenges attendees without a solidified format, without preference to ‘rare’ records, but records aimed for the dance floor regardless of how rare or common. People from walks of life are encouraged to come listen and celebrate early Soul music.
