DIM188 - Izabel

Izabel approaches her dj sets with an inquisitive nature, taking raw excursions that explore abstract electronics, synthesized sounds and acoustics. Her studies in sound art and electroacoustic music in Melbourne, London and The Hague became the foundation for Lullabies for Insomniacs. The label and guest mix series is a beacon of curiosities which explores a wild sonic terrain that continues to unfold over the labels evolving catalogue.

Surveying vast sonic territories, her selections evolve throughout her sets, drawing for the unknown and the weird and wonderful. This mix for our series is a perfect example of her exploratory character, featuring roaming, lo-fi percussive workouts, cosmic vocal elements and far more, that create a unique journey across the hour, guiding listens into new sound worlds.
