Since being introduced to Hardcore/Jungle by a family member back in 1993 I was hooked by the fast tempo, samples, basslines and Mc’s that would ride over a tune. Notable radio stations I would listen to were Kool, Don, Scandal, Pulse, Dream, Flex etc. It’s great to see some of these still going or come back.
Listening to the DJ's on these stations as well as Hype (for his scratching ability and selection) inspired me to try my hand at mixing and after going through several inferior decks I finally got hold of two 1210's that made all the difference to home in on the craft and I never looked back since. I still have them to this day and would consider them family.
