After last month's festivities, we're back to what these shows are really about this month: digging out the best new tunes and playing them. Very much in that category are new albums from Osees, Boards Of Canada, Jon Spencer and Yard Act, plus a compilation from the Akenat label featuring great tunes from the Philippines.
There's also another single from My Best Unbeaten Brother, something else from the excellent Golden Kong EP, a remix of Isaac Chambers & Dub Princess and a preview of the forthcoming Arab Strap album. Aside from the new stuff, we've got something from the new Analog Africa compilation from Los Orientales De Paramonga and, of course, we Peel Back... to the month of July as it looked in 1976, 1986 and 1996.
