We've got a truly special session in the show this month, featuring the always remarkable Cuban Boys, plus special guests they've roped in to re-work tracks from their recent album. The results are truly unique and wonderful.
As it's August, I'm off to the Green Man festival later in the month so I'll be playing some of the anticipated highlights of this year's festival, including tracks from The Oh Sees, Hinds, Moddi and Madonnatron among others. There's also a Green Man-themed Peel Back..., plus an extra, extended Peel Back... to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of John Peel's final Perfumed Garden show, which aired in all its five-hour glory this month back in 1967.
There's the usual bunch of new, recent and forthcoming releases, including a track from the new Baker Island album, something from what is sadly going to be the last album from Chuck, a truly extraordinary remix of a Diane Marie Kloba tune and something new from Estonia's Threes And Will.
