He began DJing in the late '80s and quickly gained popularity at the Shibuya J Trip Bar, a club popular among young people, with the legendary party "NEO SURFER NIGHT," mixing four-on-the-floor beats with other genres, drawing a peak audience of 5,000 people. He then went on to DJ at the long-established reggae club "AFROMANIA" in Aoyama, where he mixed not only reggae but also soul and R&B to create a unique worldview for the "NEO SUFER REGGAE NIGHT," drawing the highest attendance figures ever at the club. Around the same time, he became a regular DJ on Mondays at the legendary Aoyama club "Aoyama MIX." He was eventually put in charge of the '80s dance floor at Cafe GQ (Tsurusen) in Akasaka, where he became immersed in DJing for requests and became obsessed with '80s MIX.
