This mix was inspired by the book Narcopolis by Jeet Thayil.
The idea was to create a mix that was based around Indian influenced tunes which carries a smooth narcotic otherness about it.
The book is based in 70's Bombay (Mumbai) and deals with the lives of a group of diverse characters that frequent an opium den.
The mix has been up On Souncloud for over a year now and is my most popular mix, so its time it made the jump to Mixcloud. The artwork has been redone by the wonderful creative talents of Chris Quinn, part of the Dippity T team (see link below).
