My friend asked for a mix called, 'bad bitches,' w/ 'Bodak Yellow' for guidance.

I'm too damned old to feel Cardi B. So my first inclination, as an old bastard, was to simply mix a bunch of current 'mumble rap' or 'trap.' But then I examined my prejudices and hang-ups, and meditated.

Cardi B and the rest of today's stars aren't talking to me: I'm old news. Why would she bother courting me, appealing to my tastes, when I'm not her target audience? I thought about the world outside my biases, and reevaluated her message, her appeal, my prejudices.

Cardi B is the highest charting female rapper since 2014. She supports Kaepernick's protest. She has definitely pulled herself up by her bootstraps. She is unlikely to be a one-hit wonder. 50 Cent said it best: 'I thought you'd be happy I made it."

I am.

I mixed this as homage to the sex-positive female stars out there. Just know this is in no way SFW.
