Reflection

Out of all storms that you shall face,
no thunder will quake your ground more than the human gaze.

When the eyes start to quiver
and the heartbeat fades into a mere rumble,
the breath resonates the flow of a river,
specular sound of the stream watering the head’s dense jungle.

As wilderness grows thicker, and all paths become confounded,
what’s thought or emotion can no longer be unbounded.

All answers will drown in this abyssal duet,
and while mystery becomes the sole view,
the mirror of soul only shows a dimmed silhouette;
if beauty is what you see, it’s just the reflection of you.
