In the past year, I have mostly released dance, techno, and house mixes as I wanted to build my skills around those genres which are not where I started with DJing. Now that I am more comfortable mixing outside of my safe space, it felt like the right time to finally release something much more related to my roots with DJing, and quite frankly my entire life. Hip-Hop, Reggae, Latin, Jersey Club and, slightly less, Afrobeats were all part of my childhood so it feels great when I put out a mix like this.
We Geminis are known for having multiple personalities, and true or not, I used this mix as a way to display my range in taste of these genres. All of these genres come in different forms and I try to hit on a lot of them throughout the mix. I hope you enjoy it and I would love your feedback!
