PHAEDRA

Phaedra was the daughter of King Minos and Queen Pasiphae of Crete and the younger sister of Ariadne.
Phaedra married Thesus, King of Athens and slayer of the beast known as the Minotaur.
She gave him two sons; but also fell in love with her stepson Hippolytus.
Since he refused her, and her passion for him became known, she hanged herself, leaving a letter in which she charged her stepson of having assaulted her.
This happened in Troezen, say some, or in Athens, say others.
This set was inspired by Greek Mythology and the colors of the island of Crete. The artwork for the cover was inspired by Knossos Palace, Crete.
