I've been fascinated by these exceedingly dubby, hypnotic tracks by D&B legend Krust since they became digitally available after years of dub-plate only existence.
What were they for? To trance dancers out in the middle of sets, give Krust a loo break or just time to roll one?
Whatever, they stand for me as a high point of D&B production, with steady chugging breaks, subtly shifting soundscapes, and as mysterious as 2001's obelisk.
I've taken a very light touch approach, with minimal tempo changes and blending to respect the artistry of each of the four tracks, which are:
1. Flip It
2. Brief Encounters
3. Soul In Motion
4. Maintain
