Virtual Vortex is an extension of DJ Dynamo's live all-vinyl sets at the cool Spacebar in Columbus, Ohio. Since 2019 I, Dan Sponseller, have been pulling out all the best 1980s dance music for people to bounce to and it is a beautiful thing indeed when a collective yelp goes up when a beloved number comes on. I've been missing all your in-person groove with the pandemic, so I decided it was high time to continue the vibe on the fabulous Radio 614, Columbus' own online publicly-fueled radio station. First Saturdays I will be bringing back the best '80s dance and underground music: New Wave Post-punk, Synthpop, New Romantic, Goth, and Industrial.
