Cancelled my Pro

Mixcloud are locking shows that feature more than 4 tracks by the same artist, it has impacted quite a few of my shows where I play all the tracks on an EP and that act has another single in the chart too. It's a SILLY rule. I understand that you cant upload an entire album or something of course, but for certain types of shows where multiple songs by one artist feature, it's a pain.

My last week and posting many shows - I will not be posting any more after the 19th unless they stop locking the shows and go back to how they were before, not holding our shows hostage unless we pay to keep them up.

I love your shows. So many memories hearing tracks i have not heard for years, especially the 70's. Shame mixcloud have messed things up.

Your 70's Charts uploads have giving me great pleasure listening to them.

Please note that per our Terms of Use our licensing framework with our partners means we have certain rules about what uploads are made available.
This means that shows can only contain:
• Maximum 3 songs from one album (and no more than 2 consecutively)
• Maximum 4 songs from one recording artist (and no more than 3 consecutively)
• Maximum 4 songs from one compilation (and no more than 3 consecutively)

STILL BS especially when people pay to show their shows

I have paid for the trial pro which has had some benefits but not enough to pay £9 a month if some of the shows become unplayable, after the time and effort put into making them etc. I thought this payment was made to cover any artist royalties. I don't see the point in wasting my time and energy uploading my files if they do this to us.

If they carry on like this it will be the end of Mixcloud - RIP

hi Crystal! sorry you are leaving soon. it's all about the money and i'm sure the copywriting also from the major record companies. they want their cut and the artists that write the songs too. a few favs of mine left and had to go to look for their shows on radio core. this Mix cloud i love a lot of the DJs that i listen to the music i grew up on. and the formats are similar to the old FM and am radio shows used to be . i hope they will work with you . i hope it works out Crystal . i love cats too. i have a cutie pie i named baby (Squeekers) you would love her. she's a calico. good luck and i hope you will still be here if not let us know where you can be found and listen to. They're hurting many, but I think they are hurting Mixcloud the most. I'm sorry you're going through this. Music is something that should be shared by all. It's the only thing that can bring peace to your life in this world.
